I began writing down quotes in a spiral notebook when I was in my early twenties, before I had a computer. At the time, you couldn’t just search the Internet to find websites or articles with quotes on every topic under the sun. I would find notebook-worthy quotes in books, magazines, newspapers, or hear them on the radio or on television. Today, I still jot down quotes that catch my attention, though I retired the old spiral notebook years ago.
